If you have young kiddos, you most likely have read an Eric Carle book. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, he’s the Hungry Caterpillar guy with all those unique pictures. However, he has done so much more than that one caterpillar book. He has illustrated and written more than 70 books and many of them have been translated in multiple languages.
I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off this blog than celebrating his life and accomplishments. His books have inspired kids to read and learn for years. My oldest actually had The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme for his first birthday. He still loves to hear that he was like the hungry Caterpillar and rather eat the pickle than his cupcakes.
Check back later for crafts to go with some of our favorite Eric Carle books.
